Old diary 01

This is probably the most invested and most meaningful drawing I ever drew.

I was 12 at the time, and a bit naive... I wanted to find a way to get into the world of Digimon, and I reached the conclusion that I can't because it's a cartoon world; I have no "cartoon existence". So I tried to create myself one - this was supposed to be a whole project, all angles, all cloths and items, my digimon and all of her digivolution stages... I believed that by having it all on paper, I will finally have a "cartoon existance" and could reach that world....

I didn't finish it that year, but with time I started getting to different directions with this. this was me, in the Digimon style [or my perception of it, back then]. I referenced from the TV [which definitely wasn't easy! ><]

started drawing: July 7th, 2003 [lacked head & shoes]
Added head, started working on the eyes: July 17th, 2003 [lacked face & shoes]
Finished frontal drawing & started the back version: July 19th, 2003

Character's Name/Definition: well since she is just a form I made for myself in the world of Digimon, I guess she would go under my name....? Maria then, sadly.
