Flexible Mature Content - Suggestion

Description

Having read [link] had only made me realize how lacking dA's Mature Content filters are. I have seen many people who were offended by artists who were posting some edgy content, I have seen artists being offended by people demanding them to mark their deviations as mature while the artists never saw them as such.

You can never draw a clear line when it comes to MC, and so, I think being able to select what to hide might be a blessing to the whole community.

Well, sure, we have filters. But if I enjoy most artistic nudes, should I really turn on my MC filter for a few I don't? If I only dislike male nudity, should I just give up on the rest? should I wonder what kind of nudity lies behind the "nudity" filter, if it is one I accept or one I will frown upon?
It's not just nudity. Language, Violence, Ideology, all have very blurry red lines, which I think only the viewer can draw for itself.

I was saddened seeing groups of artists like Grow The Fuck Up, who were so offended by the mature filters they have decided to mark all of their works as mature.

THE MATURE FILTER IS NOT AGAINST THE ARTIST!

It is merely there to help the viewer in avoiding what they do not wish to see anyway. I think artists are being flamed because they can't match their definition of "mature" with their viewers. Viewers are being offended, not being able to control what they want to see. I think a more thorough filtering could diminish the problem, for everybody's sake.

For example, I don't mind sexual themes. Really. But I'm not very fond of two men banging each other, I beg your pardon. Sometimes, I run into what I don't want to see. A younger or more vulnerable viewer might have left a nasty comment in my place. It is not the artist's fault I view their work as mindless fan-service; Who knows, perhaps they view my own art as the same.
I just hope this clash between the artists and viewers of dA could be more easily avoided, and I suggest my idea.

Hey, my watcher-list idea was implemented... :D so maybe there is hope ;p

I always put why I mature filtered something in my comment if I do, but a lot of people don't...

Personally, I feel like the "sexual themes" section needs an additional subclass for fetish art. Because I can't possibly be the only one who thinks inflation and so on is just a little icky to stumble across accidentally...
